Top two women's team square off 10 19 2012

[PREVIEW: USA-Germany] Interim coach Jill Ellis will lead the U.S. women's national team in a battle of the world's toptwo ranked women's national teams on Saturday at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, Ill. (Fox Soccer: 6:30 p.m. ET),world cup 2014 jerseys, and Tuesday at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Conn. (NBC Sports Network: 7:30 p.m. ET).There is no change in the U.S. roster from the team that won the 2012 Olympic gold medal. Germany's squad includes five players from its 2012 Under-20 Women's World Cup runner-up team.

Ellis, who is currently the development director for the U.S. women's national team and has expressed no interest in pursuing the national team coaching job on a permanent basis, replaces Pia Sundhage, who completed her tenure with an impressive 91-6-10 record.

U.S. Soccer is in the process of interviewing candidates for the head coachposition, but there is no set timetable to make a final decision.

Philadelphia Independence head coach Paul Riley, Notre Dame and U.S. U-23 women'shead coach Randy Waldrum and former national team head coach Tony DiCicco are reported to be among the candidates.

There is no change in the U.S. roster from the team that won the 2012 Olympic gold medal.

Germany's squad includes five players from its 2012 Under-20 Women's World Cup runner-upteam: goalie Laura Benkarth, defenders Luisa Wensing and Leonie Maier andforwards Lena Lotzen and Dzsenifer Marozsan, winner of the Adidas Golden Ball award as the tournament's best player.

(Germany did not qualify for the Olympics after being upset in the quarterfinals of the 2011 Women's World Cup.)
