On Feb. 5, Massachusetts Army National Guard Sergeant Kevin Maloney was driving home from work when he saw a man lying face down on the side of the street after an accident. Without hesitation, Sgt. Maloney saw that the man's leg had been partially severed, he was bleeding profusely and going in and out of consciousness. Using his military training, Sgt. A point guard's long-awaited return didn't help the Phoenix Suns this week, and it hasn't done much good for the Boston Celtics, either.

The difference is that Phoenix hopes Eric Bledsoe can spark a playoff push, whereas Boston is just playing out the string and trying to get Rajon Rondo back in top form.

The stumbling Suns are coming off a rare loss to a sub-.500 team despite Bledsoe coming back and will look to avoid another Friday night when they open a three-game road trip against Rondo and the Celtics.

Wednesday seemed like a good time for Bledsoe to make a triumphant return, with Phoenix coming off back-to-back road losses and hosting a struggling Cleveland team which is among the league's worst on the road. Instead,cheap nhl jerseys the Suns got off to a rough start and lost 110-101.

Bledsoe, who missed 33 games after undergoing knee surgery, had 15 points and nine assists in 32 minutes off the bench but shot 5 for 16.

Plenty of NBA big men haven't had the desire to play -- their size almost forces them into the game and, frankly, it shows. But Przybilla said that never was an issue for him.

"No, I missed it," he said. "I started getting calls and I was working out, and I thought, 'Man, if I feel like this, I'm going to try to play as long as I can.' Because I really missed it, man. Granted, I did get to spend a lot of time with my family. But I'd done this my whole life. I don't know what else to do."

Said Portland forward LaMarcus Aldridge, happy for Przybilla's return in a season when so many other Blazers -- Brandon Roy, Greg Oden, Marcus Camby, Gerald Wallace,cheap nhl jerseys Nate McMillan -- have departed: "Nobody was telling him to come back, he wanted to come back. That was the game in which former video intern Kaleb Canales -- a good friend who began in Portland the same year that Przybilla arrived -- won his first game as interim coach. By the end of the night, he and the center were saying how much they loved each other.

"He's been part of our team for a long time," Canales said. "He knows what we're about. We feel comfortable with Joel out there. You saw out there tonight, he's just so big physically and from a leadership standpoint, and he anchors our defensive game plan."

Healthy Magic aiming to find permanent home as NBA

Magic Johnson is not going away. But he is tracking several ownership possibilities around the league.

Johnson's NBA future is clouded by a heavy involvement in bringing pro football back to Los Angeles with a proposed downtown stadium near Staples Center. Good player in a bad team usually accumulate statistics , and now Nelson is back from injury from the groin , and I fully believe he has done a lot of work on the offensive challenges magic. Nelson averaged 13.6 points, 4.8 rebounds , 5.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.2 three-pointers in his past five games , despite the limitations of influenza virus , so if he continues to produce at a high level , Do not be surprised in the foreseeable future .
